Brigade Models has released a new Celtos miniature, The King of the Wild.

Mongoose previews 10mm sci-fi miniatures

While not an official preview per se Mongoose Publishing has psoted some photos of miniatures from their upcoming War Without End 10mm ground combat game set in the Babylon 5 universe.

Contested Skies preview 5

Wizards has posted the fifth in their series of Contested Skies previews. This preview has the stat cards for last week’s feature miniatures (the Katyusha and the FlakPanzer IV) as well as two new teaser pictures.

South Russian Village

Paper Terrain has released a new South Russian Village pack.

From their wesbite:
Buildings in the southern part of Russia were built in a fashion similar to those in the north, but as a finishing touch, most were plastered or stuccoed on the outside and then white-washed producing a distinctly different appearance from their northern cousins. This sort of acrhitecture could also be found in many parts of eastern europe and the northern Balkans. This kit includes a church, ten other buildings, four barns and two types of fences. The kit does not include bases or landscaping.

The kit is available in 10, 15 and 20mm scales and is priced at $39.95 for the 15mm set.

Eldar Rangers sneak peek

New Baccus Parthians

Baccus has announced the release of a new line of Parthian miniatures.

As well Baccus has details of army packs for Warmaster and DBA/M.

As well they have announced a change in policy in how they pack their miniatures:
Since time immemorial we’ve supplied packets of 10 or 20 strips. As time has gone its become increasingly obvious that this eminently logical system isn’t actually all that useful to wargamers. An increasing number of rules seem to be demanding units equivalent to six strips, and as we all know from school, 6 into 20 doesn’t go! As our own Polemos system is guilty of this we thought it time to change. As a result, from today all infantry packs will change from 10s and 20s to 12s and 24s. Yes, there obviously is a price increase, but this is only to cover the cost of the extra strips in a packet.

Eureka Russian Pavlov Grenadiers

Eureka has produced a new series of AB Miniatures Russian Pavlov Grenadiers in 15/18mm.

From their website:
Those of you familiar with Russian Napoleonic armies will know of the Pavlov Grenadiers who retained their famous mitre caps long after the rest of the Russian army began to slowly adopt the shako after 1805. The honour was conferred on the regiment by the Tsar in recognition of they’re bravery at the Battle of Freidland in 1807, who ordered them to retain their caps and to maintain them in the condition “in which they left the battlefield”.

The AB Figures range of Russians for 1805-1811 already includes Grenadiers in mitre caps that can be used to represent Pavlov Grenadiers for early campaigns like Austerlitz and Friedland, but these new figures depict the Pavlov Grenadiers in their mitre caps and wearing the later uniform associated with the momentous campaigns of 1812 and after.
